The following Indian amateur radio operators have submitted valuable suggestions for the Gazette Draft Amendments:
NameCallsignCitySuggestion if any
Viswanathan R Elayidom , Administrator VU2EAF Cochin The government of India has to provide loan facility with a nominal interest rate to hams for procuring the equipment’s. The equipment’s to be insured by some insurance companies too. The UHF licence for toys range to be popularised.
Rajesh VU3RHJ Ahmedabad My suggestion is that every telecommunication services providing company should provide one repeater to each major cities where they provide their services as a part of CSR. By providing this facility it will not only encourage the experiments between hams but also provide back up communication during emergency The responsibility of the repeater should be entrusted to the club station or senior Ham in that region

Licensing: Consider Aadhar Card or Passport or Birth Certificate as Nationality and scrap the requirement of Nationality certificate from Gazatted officer. Travel with Equipments.: Put a note in the license that the license holder allowed to carry his radio equipment anywhere in the country. This will be helpful while traveling especially in flights.

Aneesh John VU3FTG Kollam If a license holder fails to renew their license for more than 10 years, there is no way to renew it again. The WPC is forcing individuals to write the exam again. In my opinion, I suggest amending this rule because this is just a hobby and not a money-making activity or a university degree. The lapse may happen due to financial issues or because some people are working abroad, etc. Please consider allowing people to renew their licenses even if they have expired for more than 10 years.
